Introduction

IKEMEN GO Launcher is a launcher made in Godot 4.4 for making it easier to manage IKEMEN Go games.

The project started development around 2024.

The project got inspired by this discussion on the IKEMEN Go repository.

The launcher is available on Windows, Linux and macOS (not tested on macOS)

If you have any suggestions, issues or would like to contribute to the project, visit the github repository!

Note: The project is in alpha version, meaning it is not stable! If you are going to use the launcher, please be aware of that fact.

Linux is the most stable.

Windows has a bug that i haven't managed to fix yet.

macOS support is not tested.

The latest version available as of 18/06/2025 is v0.0.2.1

Features

A archive folder is a folder where you store characters, backgrounds and stages that you'd like to reutilize later in other games.
Work in progress

There are features that are yet not added to this project, example being adding background, musics from archive folder, etc

This also means some current features are not polished.

Godot Engine - for the game engine used in this project

M.U.G.E.N - freeware 2D fighting game engine designed by Elecbyte.

IKEMEN - The early IKEMEN which started development around 2010 by SuperSuehiro, which then in 2016 that he began rewritting the engine in Go language, which later got abandoned and picked by the Ikemen engine group.

IKEMEN GO - A open source rewrite of Ikemen using Go language.
